A&C | Privacy Policy

This policy explains how A&C handles personal data collected through this website (dontwaffle.me). It does not cover the separate data protection terms that apply to our client engagements, which are set out in your contract with us.

Who we are

A&C is the trading name of Anam & Choudhury Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (number 07781134), with its registered office at 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. We are the data controller for the personal data described here, and we are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

What we collect

Information you give us. When you use the contact form or email us, we collect your name, your email address and whatever you choose to put in your message. If you ask to hear from us, we collect your email address.

Information we collect automatically. When you visit the site, we and our analytics providers collect standard technical and usage data: the pages you view, how you arrived, broad device and browser information, approximate location based on your IP address, and how you interact with the page. Some of this relies on cookies and similar technologies, which we use in line with our Cookie Policy. Our servers also log IP addresses for a short period to keep the site secure and prevent abuse.

We do not collect payment details through this website.

How we use your data, and our legal basis

To respond to your enquiry and discuss working together. Our legitimate interest in answering you, and taking steps at your request before any contract.
To send you updates or marketing, where you have asked us to. Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
To understand how the site is used and improve it. Your consent to non-essential analytics cookies.
To advertise to you. We use advertising pixels to show you our ads on other websites and social platforms, and to retarget people who have already visited the site. Your consent.
To keep the site secure, prevent spam and protect against abuse. Our legitimate interest in protecting the site and its visitors.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it with the service providers and platforms who help us run the site and our communications, so they can carry out those services for us. They fall into a few categories: website hosting, website analytics, email delivery and email marketing, advertising and retargeting, and security and anti-spam. Each handles your data under a contract with us. A current list of these providers is available on request.

Our advertising and retargeting partners include the major social and search platforms. They may combine the data collected through their pixels on our site with data they already hold about you, under their own privacy policies, to show you relevant ads.

Some of these partners are based outside the UK, in the EU or EEA, the United States, or elsewhere. Where we transfer personal data outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards: the UK’s adequacy regulations for transfers to the EEA, and the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or an equivalent mechanism, for transfers to other countries.

We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

Spam protection

We protect the contact form from spam and automated abuse using Cloudflare Turnstile. To tell genuine visitors apart from bots, Turnstile collects limited technical and interaction data about your visit, including information about your browser and how you interact with the page. We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the site and its visitors secure. Cloudflare processes this data on our behalf as set out in the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as we need it to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete it. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained for a limited period in line with our analytics settings. Security logs are cleared regularly.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email please [at] dontwaffle.me .

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
